Fashion Club

>

Over the past few weeks of school fashion club has offered its members an array of events to volunteer at. Now when some people think of volunteer work, they dread it. As a member of Marymount University’s fashion club I would have to say that is not the case for us. When an event is presented to us to volunteer at, we jump at the opportunity, sometimes literally. I have been fortunate enough this year to participate in about five. I have been a dresser at fashion shows such as the Harley Davidson Dealer Convention, Couture for a Cure, and a Chanel Boutique opening. I have also been a volunteer at the District Sample Sale and the Tahirih Justice Center Benefit. Not only have I been happy to volunteer at such events I have also found them to be very rewarding and hope that others feel the same way.

Being a member of Marymount’s fashion club has endless opportunities and life long connections. As a fashion major I find being a part of the club to be very beneficial to my future career, my education, and growing as a person. I hope to continue to be a valued member of the club as well as grow with it. It helps with networking and meeting new people, who most of the time have similar interests as you. I would definitely recommend the club to those who have yet to join, especially the fashion majors, and if you have joined make sure that you sign up for some of these wonderful events. Trust me you won’t regret it!
