Twilight is definitely an obsession for some but is it enough to influence fashion? InStyle says joined Harper's with a yes! The industry is going to milk this obsession for all that its worth. For example, Nordstrom has a Twilight Saga: New Moon collection :/ "which includes everything from tops and tunic dresses (by apparel company Awake) to jewelry and key chains—all inspired by the best-selling vampire series." here are a few items:
Another tidbit from InStyle, WARNING! SPOILER ALERT! is that fashion designers are sketching Bella's (Kristen Stewart's character) wedding dress.

So what do you think about the Twilight Hype? Are you anti or pro- Rob & Kristen? I guess I have an outside look because I haven't read the books or seen the movies! Should I join the natural or not so natural obsession?
It is really interesting to see how movies and books are influencing fashion so much. I went to Nordstroms the other day and saw all the Twilight stuff and could not believe how much they had and people actually buy it. I will admit I bought my boyfriends mother a Edward key chain from there she is crazyyy about Twilight and Edward and she LOVE IT! hahah
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have never read the books, I have seen both of the movies and I will admit I am a fan of the sappy love story. As far as fashion is concerned I find it interesting that the leading female role has been such a style symbol. In the movies her outfits are very plain and normal, her character is a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl. On the other hand, the vampires in the movie are actually very fashion forward from their jean choices to scarves, jewelry, and coats. I am curious to see how these fashion collaborations evolve.
ReplyDeleteI have to find that Harpers Bazaar. My sister would love that! Those pictures are so intense! I say join in and see what the hype is all about. Never read any of the books but saw the first movie so far and Im gonna see the second once it comes out on DVD. The filming is amazing.
